Concentrates, juices, nectars, drinks, fruit waters – what is the best choice?

Certainly, more than once you have entered the store only for a moment to buy “something to drink” – and you ended up thinking about “what to choose?” Juices, nectars, fruit waters! As the market develops, there are more and more of them. But what will be the best choice?

Fruit water – is it still water?

You may think that since “water” is probably healthy then it is the right choice BUT nothing could be further from the truth! It is true that they are produced on the basis of water but they also contain artificial flavors, preservatives and, above all, sugars (in great amounts) which makes flavored waters sweetened drinks that can contribute to weight gain and obesity.

So if you want to quench your thirst in a healthy way but you do not like the taste of pure water, try reaching for fruit juices, especially organic aronia juice, which you can mix with water. Such juice, which does not contain added sugar and preservatives, is an ideal, healthy addition to water. It is produced from organic aroniaberry fruit and, in addition to its fresh taste, it also provides a lot of vitamins!

Fruit drinks – cheap and good – are you sure?

By definition, fruit and vegetable drinks must contain 0.1% to 25% of added fruit juice or purée but may also contain additional sugar, colorings, flavors, preservatives, and other substances that are not found naturally in fruits. The list of additives is long, and since the juice content of the drink is relatively low, the price also differs from the price of juices and is tempting. Remember, however, that sweetened drinks do not provide the body with too much vitamins and minerals, but smuggle in unhealthy sugar, so it is better not to save money on health and reach for organic aronia juice.

Nectar – is it the same drink as 100% juice?

Not completely. Nectars contain more juice than fruit drinks, but it is still diluted with water. It cannot contain artificial colors or flavors and cannot be chemically preserved but unfortunately it contains additional sugar in a large amount.

Juices can be divided according to various criteria. We meet cloudy or clear juices, pressed directly from fruit or made from concentrate, pasteurized or unpasteurized one-day or vacuum-packed … a very long list, however, regardless of the type – they will always be the closest to the fruit they are made of. The best choice is juice that is pressed directly from the fruit. This is how organic aronia juice is made and additionally it is produced using natural methods and has the Organic Agriculture certificate.

Juice is the best choice for several reasons:

  • They have the simplest possible composition! – the juice includes only fruit! It is a low-processed product and according to the law no additives such as artificial colors, flavors or preservatives can be added to the organic juice.
  • No added sugar – the sugar in juice is the sugar naturally found in the fruit, it is not added.
  • They are rich in vitamins and minerals.
  • They have an intense, wonderfully fruity, natural flavor of aronia or other fruit!

We already know that to quench our thirst, apart from water, we always choose juice … but which one?

Juices FC, NFC – what does it even mean?

Choosing FC juice (from concentrate), we will get the juice that was created by combining the concentrated juice (concentrate) with water. These are called reconstituted juices. Concentrated juice is one from which the water has previously evaporated. As a result, the juice takes up less space and is easier to store and transport. No colorants, sweeteners or preservatives are added to it. In order to obtain reconstituted juice from the concentrated juice, water is added to the concentrate in the maximum amount that was previously evaporated from it.

The situation is different in the case of NFC juice (not from concentrate), also known as pressed or direct juice. It is produced only from pressing the fruit, water is not evaporated from it. It is the best choice because it is made from raw fruit, has no additives and has a great natural flavor. NFC juices, both those “short-term” that are not pasteurized and pasteurized, have a much richer composition than juice produced from concentrate or nectars, and thanks to the richness of vitamins and minerals they positively influence health. Such NFC juice is organic aronia juice.

Always choose the best products like pressed aronia juice from organic farm. It guarantees that the quality and health benefits of the juice are of the highest level.
